THRIVING as a Single Mother During COVID19 Lockdown

With lockdown extension already amidst us, we thought we'd share some tips for THRIVING as a single mother during these very trying times...
Thriving will look different for everyone...but We were made to FLOURISH and THRIVE wherever we find ourselves and whatever our situations may look like.
🌿1. Let's not put extra pressure on ourselves to get that To - do list ticked off at once. Let's start with one or two things per day.
These are difficult times and we need to extend overflowing grace, especially toward ourselves.
IT IS OKAY to take it at our pace.
🌿2. Plan your day with Routines and special times for spending time together with the kids too. Consistency in Routine keeps us sane and definitely helps the kids adjust too.

🌿3. Keep your 'Me - Time' alive. We still need to care for ourselves or the pressures of this time will consume us... even if it's a pep - talk and deep breaths. Read a magazine for relaxation.
Try something creative, no matter how it turns out. Set your personal growth goals, take it one step at a time. Let's grow through this season, no matter how small or big the step of growth.
🌿4. There will be even more sacrifices made during this time, make peace with those little sacrifices for the greater good. You are doing the best you can for your children right now.
🌿5. Try and buy online as far as possible with the option for collection in your area or delivery.
🌿6. Limit the content you consume in this time. Fear and Comparisons of any sorts will not help with coping so let's not dwell too much here...
🌿7. Stay connected to your support systems. Reach out to a trusted friend, family member, to organizations or other online support groups.
Lastly, Mama, you are stronger than you know.
You will get to the other side of this and realise how much strength and bravery you have been capacitated with.
Remember to focus on giving Y O U R best... even if that means you got up and kept the kids alive today. 🌻
