The Learning Initiative Activity Packs

Hey ladies, we have teamed up with The Learning Initiative to share these awesome activity packs for your little ones...

The Learning Initiative (TLI) was established in 2014, with the aim of making professional services available to children from communities to ensure that they can reach their potential in school and beyond.

In 2016, TLI partnered with the Western Cape Department of Social Development to develop, test and implement a ground-breaking, therapeutic intervention that promotes holistic child development in 4- to 5-year-old children. TLI strives to equip all our young children with tools, techniques, enthusiasm and resilience to thrive in school.

TLI is passionate about reaching their mission of getting therapists into communities and promoting stimulation at home even during these difficult times.

During the national lockdown in South Africa most families are struggling to put food on the table, so needless to say, stimulation has taken a back seat. Due to the closure of ECDs, the programme run by TLI within communities across the Western Cape has taken a pause as well.

Their team of speech and occupational therapists have had to think of creative ways to use their collective skills to bring Blocks4Growth into the homes of our communities and beyond. Their team has developed several resources that target important developmental skills our little ones need to keep practicing in order to support learning in future.
